A first legally recognized day of thanksgiving was ordered by the Governor in Massachusetts Bay to celebrate the the victory of Indians. A second day of Thanksgiving was ordered by the church in Standford Connecticut to celebrate the victorious slaughter over the heathen Indians. Numerous days of thanksgiving developed after each slaughter. President George Washington ordered that all these celebrations be celebrated on one day. President Abraham Lincoln made Thanksgiving a national Holiday on the day he order the slaughter of the Sioux Indians. Today we celebrate family and friends and the blessings we have enjoyed. Let us not forget the lives who paved the way for our luxury.

Your slaughter became the first legally recognized American Day of Thanksgiving celebration.
The success of the slaughter led to numerous Day of Thanksgivings. We remember you. Ashee !

Umoja Karamu- Giving thanks to Afrikan Culture

The cultural creativity of Afrakan people is ever redemptive. Afrakans in America continue in the ways of their continental ancestors in conceiving ongoing methods of institutionalizing our unique heritage. This is the time of the holiday tradition of Umoja Karamu. This celebration was initiated in 1971 by Brother Edward Simms, Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa. Umoja Karamu is a Swahili term that translates as “unity feast.” As practiced in The Temple of the Black Messiah, Umoja Karamu is held on the fourth Sunday in November.
Its purpose is to instill a sense of unity and appreciation of Afrakan heritage into Afrakan families. This is done through prayers to the traditional deities of Afraka, libations to honor our Afrakan ancestors, historical Afrakan centered readings and Afrakan centered films all of which culminates in a healthy, nutritious feast. In his own words Brother Edward Simms, Jr. states “[Umoja Karamu] injects new meaning and solidarity into the Black Family through ceremony and symbol. It is unique in that it bridges the gap between diverse religious persuasions through a ritual which is easily understood and appreciated by all the participants. Moreover, it draws on the collective Black experience with which most Black Folks are familiar.”

The Umoja Karamu celebration is based on five major epochs in the lives of Afrakans in America and each represented by a distinct color. The feast should include foods representing the color of each epoch.The prayers, libations, historical readings and films should also center around these events:

1st Epoch – Afrakans prior to the invasions and influence of Europeans and Arabs. The color Black, is used to delineate the unity of the Afrakan people.

2nd Epoch – Captivity of Afrakans during which the Maafa occurs. The color white symbolizes the adversary and their role in the attempted destruction of Afrakan culture.

3rd Epoch – Self Emancipation. The fight against forced labor and captivity in the United States of America through revolts, Civil Rights and the Black Power movements. The color red is used to represent those who lived and died in service of freeing captive Afrakans.

4th Epoch – National Liberation. The fight for decolonization of Afrakan countries the formation of the Organization for Afrakan Unity and the diasporac Afrakan liberation movements. The chosen color is green, symbolic of land and all that comes from it.

5th Epoch – The Future of Afraka and Afrakans. The Afrakan Union, The African Socialist International, The Sankofa Movement. Afrakan centered perspectives for the future. The color gold is chosen for the future is a most valuable asset.

Kwanzaa, Umoja Karamu, Odunde. Afrakans in America – earnestly engaged in the reclamation of their culture and its institutionalization.

Is Disney promoting Dominate/Subservient relationships for people of color ?

ABC/Disney Does Not Promote Interracial Relationships, But Dominate/Subservient Relationships

For several decades, ABC/Disney has knowingly promoted a racist propaganda on their media channels and continue to do so with a sense of impunity. Over and over, ABC/Disney have been promoting the media image of a White male in a relationship with a woman of color and this is a racist media practice known as “grooming”. In this article we are going to explain the practice of grooming, how ABC/Disney practice it and our initiative to bring what ABC/Disney is doing to light and how to confront ABC/Disney on this racist media practice.
What Is Grooming?
Let’s have a quick discussion about interracial relationships and ABC/Disney portrayal of interracial relationships. First of all, interracial relationships are extremely minute and insignificant and overhyped – the overwhelming majority of people are dating and marrying among their ethnic lines. However, the majority of interracial relationships that do occur are based on mutual love and rising above each other physical attributes, a beautiful thing that no one can argue.
ABC/Disney do not and have not and appears to have any plans to show any portrayal of interracial relationships based on love. Because if ABC/Disney was truly being honest and wanted to show the true picture of interracial relationships, it would be between a Black man and a White/Jewish woman. This is your biggest giveaway to date as ABC/Disney has never showed this realistic portrayal of interracial relationships that match reality.
However, what ABC/Disney has displayed over the years is a racist portrayal of a White male having dominate interracial relationship with a subservient woman of color. This has been done on Disney cartoons such as the Princess and the Frog to various Disney Channel TV series to ABC primetime programming. The problem and the reason why ABC/Disney was able to get away with this extreme racism with a sense of impunity is because no one really defined or understand what ABC/Disney was doing. What ABC/Disney was doing was a racist practice called “grooming” and let’s explain further.
Grooming is the racist media programming of one ethnic group trying to assert their dominance over another ethnic group (usually a minority) by targeting their women. Another term many people are familiar with is droit du seigneur. Germany has done this with Jewish women prior to World War II and this practices been done since the beginning of civilization in both Egypt and Roman times. You don’t just take another ethnicity of minority women when oppressing them, what you do is present yourself as the superior man to the ethnic minority women so they can choose you based on materialism/false sense of power over their own man from their own tribe.
What is the Agenda behind Grooming?
The overall goal of grooming is to perform passive genocide through propaganda with the sinister goal of breeding out the minority race within a few generations. In fact, this was part of the Native American assimilation process by Americans during the early 1900s and late 1800s by Whites marrying Native American women and devalue the Native American male – this is real and documented. So we know and it is established that this grooming is a real practice rooted in genocide propaganda and is a racist act. In fact, we are seeing new strands of “assimilation” talk leveraged towards the growing Hispanic and Asian base and creating strategies to see how to apply White male dominance to Hispanic, Indian and Asian women in media programming.
I will be honest, I do not know what ABC/Disney agenda is and what the hell are they thinking because it stupid and ineffective. The best theory I heard is ABC/Disney want to show and reinforce a racist narrative of dominance by White men over women of color here in America. Noticed the goal is not to show Martin Luther King, Jr vision of Black boys and White girls holding hands saying free at last – the goal of ABC/Disney is to show a racist image of a White male having his way with a woman of color who is part of a minority race in his country.
How to Detect Grooming by ABC/Disney
It is extremely easy to detect the racist grooming pattern by ABC/Disney and in fact, it is so predictable also. Let’s explain how you can reveal ABC/Disney grooming practices.
Suppressing Portrayal of Men of Color Having Relations with White Women.This is the biggest giveaway because the racist doctrine of the White woman on a pedestal who cannot be touched by others is evident in the programming. A huge percentage of real-world interracial relationships are between Black men or other men of color with White women or other cultures. ABC/Disney has no history of showing a Black male having a dominate lead in an interracial relationship with a White woman and this is proof they preserving a racist doctrine instead of accepting reality.
Promoting Portrayal of Women of Color Having Subservient Relations with White Men. In order for a successful interracial relationship to succeed among American women, the relationship has to be mutual and usually involves dual income households. To put it real simple, most women of color in an interracial relationship are working class and independent women and are not subservient and cannot be subservient to survive in their career in the real world. However, ABC/Disney portray these Black women or other women of color as needing or desiring or curious about White men and answers to these White men in some shape or form.
ABC/Disney suppresses images of men of color dating White women but promote images of women of color having relations with White men and this is proof enough ABC/Disney is engaged in grooming, a racist propaganda practice to passively encourage genocide.
What to Do About ABC/Disney Grooming Practice?
Many people believe if they target ABC/Disney then they won’t be able to go to Disneyland anymore. However, what ABC/Disney is engaged in should not be tolerated and there should an outrage against what ABC/Disney doing to the level of ABC/Disney executives losing their jobs, advertisers pulling their ads and shows being cancelled or rewritten. Again, we have to stress that ABC/Disney is not engaged in portraying interracial relationships but portraying White male dominant fantasy over women of color.
We brothas and sistas have to work together and work in force to deal with ABC/Disney. The first thing we can do is write ABC/Disney directly and tell them that we believe they are practicing grooming and advise them this is a racist practice that should be stopped immediately. In addition, we CC a copy of the letter to social responsibility advocates and put them on notice so we can claim they ignored us when we informed them.
The second thing we do is lodge a complaint with the FCC regarding all of ABC/Disney affiliates who broadcast this racist grooming propaganda. Any local broadcaster that continue to broadcast for example the Atlanta and Chicago ABC stations knowing a significant population is African-American need to be addressed with the FCC.
Then we move on the advertisers of ABC/Disney who advertise on these shows that promote grooming which is essentially racism. We have to educate everybody involved in what the practice ABC/Disney doing it and we also have to iterate over and over the same point – ABC/Disney does not promote interracial relationships but promote White male dominance over women of color and make sure everybody knows the difference.
But what is really important is brothas and sistas need to come out in force and I’m taking both with the pen and the sword, don’t play with these people because like I said, this is not interracial relationships, this is propaganda to promote long term genocide. In fact, ABC/Disney portrayal is a false depiction of interracial relationships and promotes White superiority, not colorblind love. For too long, ABC/Disney has engaged in this activity and it’s time for brothas and sistas to step up and not just call ABC/Disney out but deal with them – no one should be plotting genocide against us no matter how passive it is and we just sitting here allowing that ish to happen.

Gardening is GANGSTA ! Artist and designer Ron Finley couldn’t help but notice what was going on in his backyard. “South Central Los Angeles,” he quips, “home of the drive-thru and the drive-by.” And it's the drive-thru fast-food stands that contribute more to the area’s poor health and high mortality rate, with one in two kids contracting a curable disease like Type 2 diabetes.

Finley’s vision for a healthy, accessible “food forest” started with the curbside veggie garden he planted in the strip of dirt in front of his own house. When the city tried to shut it down, Finley’s fight gave voice to a larger movement that provides nourishment, empowerment, education -- and healthy, hopeful futures -- one urban garden at a time.

At the end of the 198os, Timberland sales topped $156 million, 30 percent of which was solely of its classic yellow boot, popular among urban youth in the northeastern United States.
During the 1990s, sales of the brand took off at the same time U.S. hip-hop artists like Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Jay Z, DMX  and many more wore the boots and rapped about them regularly.
After the rappers had fully influenced a generation of fans to wear the work boots, Timberland’s footwear accounted for more than 70 percent of its sales. By the end of 1992, the company’s sales topped $291 million and at the end of the decade, sales reached $917.2 million.

    Why does this article not mention the fact that Addidas founder and his brother who founded PUMA were once Nazis? Why does this article not mention the fact that Timbaland once told Blacks they didn't appreciate their product being associated with urban youths? Why does this article go past the fact the Cristal didn't like their product being associated with rap artists and the lifestyle?

Much to the dismay of any would-be “White Supremacists,” scientists have recently revealed that the face of the first Europeans were surprisingly Sub-Saharan African in appearance.
The head of the prototypical “First European” was recreated from bone fragments,
an incomplete skull and jawbone. These pieces were discovered in a cave in the south west region of Romania’s Carpathian Mountains.
Forensic artist Richard Neave is responsible for the reconstruction, based on fragments that are at least 35,000 years old. Radiocarbon dating analysis have determined that the oldest fragments may have been as old as 36,000 years old. Neave is a forensic artist, for a BBC program about the origins of the human race and evolution

At that time, Europe was inhabited by Homo Neanderthalis, or the Neanderthal man, who were quickly replaced by African nomadic peoples. The Neanderthal Genome Project has posited that the Neanderthals were killed off by these migrating groups. The first true homo sapiens (and homo sapien sapiens), in Europe, apparently would not have been recognizable as ethnically “Caucasian” whatsoever. Those traits, often identified as “white,” seem to have emerged much later, after Europe was settled by African peoples who looked like those Neave has recreated for us here.

The primary difference between this skull and later homo sapien sapiens are the unusually large molar teeth, which has led some scientists to speculate that the skull represents some intermixing with the native Homo Neanderthalis.

Whether or not that is the case, what is certain is that the appearance of the first truly “human” European ancestors looked nothing like what many would expect.

Erik Trinkaus, professor of anthropology at Washington University in Missouri, said the jaw in particular is the oldest, modern human fossil that can be directly-dated, saying that, “Taken together, the material is the first that securely documents what modern humans looked like when they spread into Europe.”

That might be a bit of a disappointment to those last remaining doubters that all of humanity originated in Africa and spread out from there.

A few days after Barack Obama was elected president in 2008, the Washington Post published an article about a black butler who served in the White House for 34 years, under eight presidents, from Truman to Reagan. Eugene Allen represented, as journalist Wil Haygood wrote, “a story from the back pages of history. A figure in the tiniest of print. The man in the kitchen.”
 
“He was there,” Haygood continued, “while America’s racial history was being remade: Brown v. Board of Education, the Little Rock school crisis, the 1963 March on Washington, the cities burning, the civil rights bills, the assassinations.” Allen undoubtedly lived a fascinating life, meeting countless historical figures during especially polarizing times, and it’s unsurprising that Haygood’s profile caught the eye of Hollywood. It is now the basis for Lee Daniels’ The Butler (the director’s name is included thanks to silly copyright claims made by Warner Bros).
 
But as interesting as Haygood’s profile is, “A Butler Well Served by This Election” doesn’t provide that many details about Allen’s time in the White House outside a handful of facts and humorous anecdotes. (Allen’s wife Helene referred affectionately to former First Lady Rosalynn Carter as “country,” for instance.) The Butler is a bit more than 2 hours long, spans several decades, and includes multiple storylines. It’s fair to say it has epic ambitions.
 
So how much of Allen’s real-life experience actually made it into the film?
 
Not much. According to Daniels’ foreword in The Butler: A Witness to History, a book by Haygood published to accompany the film, the movie “is set against historical events,” but “the title character and his family are fictionalized.” The skeleton of Allen’s story is there: the childhood on a plantation in the early 1920s, the interactions with several presidents. But the names have been changed: Allen and his wife, Helene, are called Cecil and Gloria Gaines. (They’re played by Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey.) At least one key character, Cecil’s son Louis (David Oyelowo), is entirely made up.
The following breakdown is based on Haygood’s profile and the accompanying book. (I have emailed Haygood and will update the post if he provides additional information.)
Spoilers follow.

The butler’s backstory

The film opens with young Cecil in Macon, Georgia, in the 1920s, working in a cotton field alongside his father. His mother (Mariah Carey) is raped by a white plantation overseer, Thomas Westfall (Alex Pettyfer), loud enough for everyone to hear. When Westfall returns, Cecil’s father shows his anger, and Westfall shoots him dead in front of Cecil and the other plantation workers. The plantation matriarch (Vanessa Redgrave) then decides that Cecil should leave the fields to become a “house nigger” and learn to serve her family.
 
Those appear to be the inventions of screenplay writer Danny Strong; they are never mentioned in Haygood’s piece.* Eugene Allen was born in 1919, and, like Cecil, he grew up on a plantation (in Virginia, not Georgia). He, too, became a “house boy” for a white family. When he spoke to Haygood about his childhood, “There was nary a hint of bitterness in his voice about his upbringing.” Allen left the plantation in hopes of finding better work, as Cecil does—but unlike his fictional counterpart, he never broke into a hotel restaurant to steal food. (He did, however, land a job at a Virginia hotel as a waiter, as Cecil ultimately does in North Carolina.)
 
How the butler got his job at the White HouseAllen learned of a job at a country club in Washington, D.C., a fact that aligns with Cecil’s move to the nation’s capital. But their entries to the White House differ considerably: Allen learned via word of mouth that Alonzo Fields, a black maître d’ at the White House, was looking for pantry workers, and he went to talk to him. He began working there in 1952, during the Truman administration, but didn’t get promoted to butler until several years later. In the movie, the White House calls Gaines after a white senior staffer witnesses Cecil in action at the D.C. hotel—a point Cecil, in voiceover, emphasizes proudly.
 
Cecil is hired as butler just as soon as black maître d’ Freddie Fallows (Colman Domingo) confirms that he is not actively political and is experienced in his field. He begins working in the White House under Eisenhower’s administration, in 1957.
 
Other moments from the film appear to be true: Allen witnessed presidents mulling over important historical decisions, including Eisenhower’s fight with Arkansas governor Orval Faubus regarding the desegregation of Little Rock. And his wife Helene did pass away just prior to Obama’s election (though it was the Sunday night prior, not the morning of, as the film implies).
 
The butler’s familyAllen had one son, Charles, who served in Vietnam, just as Cecil’s younger son (also named Charles) does. Allen’s son survived the war, while his fictional counterpart does not. The real-life Charles is still alive, and has seen and approved of the new movie, according to Haygood.
 
The invented older son, Louis, serves as the main source of conflict in the narrative of Cecil’s life, in an attempt to highlight the clash between the older and younger black generation. Louis, who’s ashamed that his father is content with serving white people, is himself present for several important historical moments, including the attack and burning of a Freedom Riders bus in 1961; he’s also imprisoned in the same jail as Martin Luther King, Jr. after a protest.
 
Gloria Gaines, the butler’s wife, has an affair with a neighbor (Terrence Howard) and struggles with alcoholism. These storlines appear to be fictional.
 
The butler and the Reagans
Judging from Haygood’s interview, it seems that Allen, like Cecil, was grateful to have his job at the White House, and wary of involving himself in the politics of the time—even in his old age, he is not quoted saying anything disparaging about the presidents he worked under. In the movie, Cecil asks for equal pay among the black and white service staff, who each perform the same level of duties. His request is denied, and he accepts this. Years later, he again asks for a raise, and when he is turned down a second time, he tells his supervisor that he spoke to President Reagan personally, and that Reagan insists on the raise himself. Allen did receive a promotion to maître d’ in 1980, but there’s no indication that he ever asked for a raise.*
 
Cecil’s character arc is complete when Nancy Reagan invites him to the state dinner as a guest—the first black butler to receive such an invitation in the history of the White House. This did, in fact, happen to Allen, but the cinematic version unfolds quite differently. Here’s how it’s described in Haygood’s profile:
“Had champagne that night,” the butler’s wife would remember all these years later. As she said it, Eugene, rocking in his chair, just grinned: for so many years he had stocked champagne in the White House.
  
In the film, on the other hand, Cecil’s discomfort at sitting among the white elite is made clear through voiceover, as he describes feeling like an outsider and a traitor to his black colleagues who are now serving him. He can now see first-hand how each server “performs” for guests, and recognizes that he’s been unknowingly wearing the same mask for years. This moment, along with Cecil overhearing Reagan’s promise to veto the sanctions against apartheid-ridden South Africa, prompts the butler to hand in his resignation. Haygood’s article only mentions that Eugene “left the White House in 1986” and received a “sweet note” from the president and a “tight” hug from First Lady Nancy.

The film ends with Cecil returning to the White House to meet President Obama. I can't tell if Allen ever actually met the president, but he did get a VIP invitation to the inauguration in 2009, and was in attendance on that historical day. When he passed away in 2010, the president sent a letter to his family acknowledging his years in service and “abiding patriotism.”

Tom Cruise was Black (The Original “Top Guns” Were Black Fighter Pilots) - Bozeman Development Group

As we pull back the curtains on the hidden history of African American accomplishments, I’d like to mention a couple of facts that dispel the fictional allegations that plagued African American military personnel for too long.  The allegation was that they were incompetent.
In 1897, a surprising proposal was initiated in the higher echelons of the U.S. Army. It was proposed, on numerous occasions, that the cadets of West Point Military Academy, the elite future leaders of the U.S. military, should learn their riding skills and mounted battle tactics from the soldiers who were considered the best fighting horsemen in the Army. Although the proposals were initially denied, finally, on March 23, 1907, one-hundred African American non-commissioned officers were assigned as a special detachment from the all-Black 9th Cavalry (Buffalo Soldiers) to provide riding instruction, mounted drill and tactics at West Point Military Academy. For the next 40-years the West Point cadets received their cavalry training from African Americans, the best fighting horsemen U.S. Army, from 1907 until 1947.
In 1986, millions of moviegoers were thrilled by the drama, acrobatics and intense battle scenes of the movie Top Gun starring Tom Cruise and Val Kilmer. Top Gun was a special program and competitive event for the best fighter pilots in the U.S. Navy. Following the release of that movie, lots of boys across the country dreamed of being a Top Gun fighter pilot.
What was not revealed in that film was that the Top Gun program actually originated in the U.S. Air Force and that the original Top Gun pilots were Black men from the famous Tuskegee Airmen, 332nd Fighter Squadron.
The military’s first “Top Gun” gunnery meet originated in 1949 and was established by United States Air Force. At this point, the Air Force was only two years old. It had previously been the U.S. Army Air Corps before Congress determined that it should be a separate organization from the Army. What is also virtually unknown is that a team of Tuskegee Airmen, Captain Alva Temple, 1st Lieutenant Harry Stewart, 1st Lieutenant James H Harvey III and alternate pilot Halbert Alexander competed in the event with their P-47N Thunderbolts. They not only competed, they went on to win the USAF very “First Top Gun” Weapons Meet (also known as “William Tell” and “Gunsmoke”) in May of 1949. The event was held at the Las Vegas Air Force Base, which later became Nellis AFB.
As it has happened too often in American history, their triumph was not publically acknowledged. Actually, the trophy for which they qualified was “lost” for many years and was finally unearthed after years of searching by renown historical researcher, Zellie Rainey Orr, nearly 50 years later. The team of the 332nd Fighter Squadron was officially acknowledged as the winners of that 1949 competition and finally awarded their trophy by the U.S. Air Force in 1995.
It’s not surprising that their victory was swept under the rug for a half-century. News like that would have been too much of a psychological shakeup for the white population at that time. Their view of the “Negro” was so skewed that they wouldn’t have been able to handle it. For example, there were several so-called studies done in the military to determine the suitability of allowing African Americans into the military.
According to the studies by the Army War College, Negro Soldiers were “Child Like”, “Careless”, “Shiftless”, “Irresponsible”, “Secretive”, “Superstitious”, “Unmoral and Untruthful” and more than likely to be guilty of “Moral turpitude”. The Negro Soldier was also branded as “A Comic”, “Emotionally Unstable”, “Musically Inclined With Good Rhythm” and “If Fed, Loyal and Compliant”.
On his website (http://www.tuskegeetopgun-jharvey.com/attitude.php), Lt. Col James H. Harvey III, who was one of the pilots on the winning Top Gun team, shares his experiences and the motivation behind the attitude of the Tuskegee Airmen. He states,
“Since every White Commander had a copy of this report this is how he perceived us. Plus, he had a few unfounded ideas of his own. Keep what I just said in mind. During the early forties the “wash out or failure rate” for White Aviation Cadets going through Flight Training was running at 63%. The “wash-out or failure rate” for the first Cadet class at Tuskegee was 40%. They said, ‘There is something wrong with this equation’, so they made sure the wash-out rate at Tuskegee was 70% or higher. We were washed out for anything, it did not have anything to do with our flying. Our Flight Training was different than the White Cadets. Everything we did had to be perfect. So when we graduated, we were better than our Instructors. Colonel Noel Parrish, our Commander at Tuskegee Army Air Field would go to the White Flying School at Montgomery, Alabama and tell the Commander there that, “We wash out better pilots at Tuskegee than you graduate here at Montgomery”, which was true. Colonel Parrish was a White Military man from Kentucky, but he was behind this program at Tuskegee 100%. This “Tuskegee Experiment” or “Tuskegee Experience” as it was called, was designed to fail. Yes, the whole program was designed to fail. We were out to prove them wrong. We were not just learning to fly for ourselves, we were out to prove that we, as a Race of People can do anything they can do, but only do it ‘Better’.”
When the United States Air Force held it’s “First Ever” Weapons Meet (also known as William Tell) in May 1949, the members of the 332nd Fighter Group (Tuskegee Airmen) organized a team for the competition. The primary members of the team were, Captain Alva Temple, 1st Lieutenant James H Harvey III, 1st Lieutenant Harry Stewart and alternate pilot 1st Lieutenant Halbert Alexander. They met with their commanding officer, Colonel Benjamin Davis, prior to their departure from Lockbourne Air Force Base for the Las Vegas event. His final comment to the team was, “If you don’t Win, Don’t come back” (tongue in cheek). That was their incentive to win the Meet and they came back with the win, even though it would take 50-years for the world to hear about it.

Afro-Boricua History in Superbowl XLVI

The Super Bowl party that I attended in the Bronx was one of millions that took place across the country. The parties, the parade and all the Hoopla is over, but the history of this game will be forever recorded in the history books, especially the Latino Sports history book.

Very few fans, including Latino fans knew that history would be made giving us many more reasons to celebrate after the NFC Champions, NY Giants defeated the AFC Champs, New England Patriots 21- 17. The game was a nail biter up to the last few seconds when Tom Brady threw a 65-yard "Hail Mary" that did not create the miracle intended, but gave the New York Fans reason to party.
If you're a Latino Giants, or Patriots fan, you should be proud that our community made NFL history by having two Latino stars play against each other in this XLVI Super Bowl. 

However,Aaron Hernández of the Patriots and Victor Cruz of the NY Giants did something else that will make the Latino NFL history books.
Here are a few other historic pieces of information that will be recorded in our Latino Sports History Books? They are the following.

1. The first touchdown of the game was scored in the first quarter by Giants wide receiver, Victor Cruz to give the giants the lead 9 -3.

2. For the first time, Salsa was danced at a Super Bowl game when Cruz showed his Salsero steps after scoring his touchdown.

3. Aaron Hernández of the Patriots became the second Puerto Rican to score a touchdown in a Super Bowl game. His came in the second quarter to give the Patriots the lead, 17 - 9.

4. Both Victor Cruz and Aaron Hernández became the first two Puerto Rican's to not only play against each other in a Super Bowl game, but to also score touchdowns as well.

5. This was the first time that a Puerto Rican Flag was displayed by an NFL player in a Super Bowl event. Victor Cruz proudly waved the island nations flag in a media-day press conference.

So Latinos and in particular, Puerto Ricans should be proud that the NFL has now been officiallybautizada con estrellas de sangre Caribeña.
